It began one festive evening in December 1975 under conditions better left to the imagination. An Instamatic, a roll of film, good friends, and a great deal of “holiday cheer.” The flash was annoying, digits were extended, and the rest is history.
Now in its 40th year, time has morphed this assemblage from a sometimes difficult to explain (“are you serious?”) amusement into a whimsical/twisted (but still difficult to explain) chronicle of people, places, and times.
All of the photos in the collection depict my personal friends and family, with individual identification intentionally omitted. When this all started, nobody had any thought that these pictures would end up on the world wide web (or even imagined that such a thing would come to exist), and while I share The Album for your enjoyment, I also intend to at least semi-protect the anonymity of all that have been so willingly photographed.
The archive lacks a "Contact" page or process for submitting your own finger photos. If you know me, you already know how to reach me - and by all means, I eagerly await your submission.
I hope you enjoy fingering through the archive.
